It's easier to love other people than it is to love ourselves. A good example is the way we talk to ourselves. When we make mistakes, we tend to beat ourselves up a lot. We berate ourselves, focus on how much we mess up, and how we could have done things differently.
If someone else had done the same mistake, we would readily encourage them. Telling them how it's human to make mistakes, how there's always another chance to do things better, or how they didn't even mess up as bad as think they did.
We are our own worst critics. Remember, the things you tell yourself matter. They are processed by the subconscious and that's what you start believing. If you keep telling yourself that you are a failure who never gets anything right, then with time, that's how you will see yourself.
If you see yourself in a negative light, the world will view you the same way. Your life will follow that same pattern of negativity that began as small negative talk to yourself.
You show others how to love you and only you can love yourself as much as you need to be loved. Self-love means that you accept yourself wholly and appreciate the person you are with all your little flaws. When you love yourself, it shows. You will know your value, be confident, and radiate happiness from within.
If you don't love yourself wholly, start with small steps. Learn about yourself, what makes you tick and what leaves you sad. Focus on your strengths and spend time with people who love you right. Avoid making comparisons and always forgive yourself.
Our self-love quotes will remind you to be gentle with yourself and cut yourself some slack. You are perfect just as you are and over here, we totally appreciate you!

You are a counsellor; if you can command these elements to silence, and work the peace of the present, we will not hand a rope more; use your authority: if you cannot, give thanks you have lived so long, and make yourself ready in your cabin for the mischance of the hour, if it so hap.
