Adam Aminé Daniel, popularly known as Aminé, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained fame through his debut single Caroline which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Born on 18 April 1994 in Northeast Portland, Aminé is the son of Ethiopian-Eritrean immigrants who came to the United States in the early 1990s. Aminé went to Benson Polytechnic High School and attended Portland State University to study marketing.
However, he later dropped out to focus full-time on his music career. He interned at the hip-hop publication, Complex. Animé released his first mixtape Odyssey to Me in 2014 officially beginning his music career. He went on to release En Vogue and Calling Brío.
