We'll start with a clichè, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. This is a saying you have probably heard many times but how true is it?
Well, it's apparently very accurate. The more you work, the more rest you need. Your resting should be directly proportionate to your efforts.
If you work for longer that means longer breaks. Working without taking a break will only lead to burnout. You will be tired, unable to concentrate, low, irritable, and less energetic.
This makes you produce work that's not as great as the one you produce when you are refreshed. There's a difference between the work you do in the morning when your mind and body are well-rested and the work you do in the evening when you are already tired.
When you take time out to play, you give yourself a break to reset. The human body is not a robot. It needs small breaks to relax, rejuvenate, and re-energize.
It doesn't have to be much. A 10-minute break playing a game on your phone can be enough. Alternatively, you can have a 5-minute walk, small exercises, or a quick phone call to someone who brightens your day.
Playing takes away dullness. The older people get, the more boring they tend to become. You don't have to be the typical old grumpy person. You can still be fun and energetic no matter your age.
Take some time to play. Move your body and embrace that little child within. If you have kids, nieces, or neighbor's kids, go ahead and participate in one of their games. There are places you can go too for adult games.
Go out there and have some fun. It will make you feel younger, rejuvenate you, and pump you up with energy. Here are play quotes to help you play more.

![From time to time I’ve spoken to school groups about my work at NASA. I’ve also been active in my church and my sorority [Alpha Kappa Alpha]. I like to play bridge and other games that involve math.](/_img/width=300,height=300,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none/wp-content/uploads/8274.jpeg)
