From 6 weeks, to 3 months, to 4 months; those are some of the diverse timelines given to heal from a breakup. A divorce can take 1.5 years. However, healing is a personal journey. No one can dictate how long your healing should take.
As humans, we are very different. We experience trauma and react to it differently. Some people take pain deeper than others. Although some people may be hit hard by a painful situation, others will cope much better. So there is no one specific timeline for when you should be healed from your pain.
It could be a painful heartbreak, the lose of someone dear to you, a traumatic experience, or something hurtful you just went through. Only you can understand what you are feeling and the extend of your pain. You should never hurry your healing time.
Healing is a process. Sometimes it takes years and sometimes you just never heal, but learn to live with what happened. Take all the time you need to feel better. You may have moments where you break down and that's okay.
What happened was painful and don't let anyone downplay your pain. Not everyone has been through what you have been through and only people who have walked down your path can understand what you feel.
Even then, they wouldn't know just how much pain you are enduring. The best they could do is empathize with you. Accept support from people who care about you and want to help you. You don't have to go through it alone.
Be compassionate with yourself, don't blame yourself for anything that happened. And don't try to fix everything at once. We hope that our heal quotes will give you the courage to walk this journey bravely. It's not easy, so take one step at a time.
