I alone must solve my problem. I have to clear my mind of everything else, think hard, analyze, explore my options, plan a strategy for the immediate situation, and then do whatever it takes. Sometimes it means scraping off what I have done and starting over again and again.

Perhaps that’s why some of us are insomniacs; night is so precious that it would be pusillanimous to sleep all through it! A “bad night” is not always a bad thing.

I knew what he was talking about to an extent – that indistinct line between awake and dreaming. But usually the line sharpened seconds after walking up. It didn’t stick with you and make you question what was real.

It’s a confusing world out there but it all makes sense when I’m in your arms.

What Paul is clearly saying is that if anyone is worthy of being saved, they will be saved. At that point many Christians get very anxious, saying that absolutely no one is worthy of being saved. The implication of that is that a person can be almost totally good, but miss the message about Jesus, and be sent to hell. What kind of a God would do that? I am not going to stand in the way of anyone whom God wants to save. I am not going to say ‘he can’t save them.’ I am happy for God to save anyone he wants in any way he can. It is possible for someone who does not know Jesus to be saved.

The Bible is very clear on life and death. Death is not the end but a beginning.

We often can’t see what God is doing in our lives, but God sees the whole picture and His plan for us clearly.

There is nothing like a sleepless couch for a clear vision of one’s environment.

For the record, I don’t worship the devil. I just hate religion.

I have benevolent insomnia. I wake up, and my mind is preternaturally clear. The world is quiet. I can read or write. It seems like stolen time. It seems like I have a twenty-eight-hour day.

God’s will is like a jigsaw puzzle, you won’t be able to see the whole picture until all the pieces are together.

You see, it’s all clear, we were meant to be here from the beginning.
