29 Timeless Oh, The Places You'll Go Quotes To Find Success

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Oh, the places you'll go is a children's book written and illustrated by author Dr Seuss. The book was published on 22 January, 1990 by Random House and was the last book he published during his lifetime.

Oh, the places you'll go is a lovely book about the overall journey of life full of joys and challenges. The book helps readers to identify more with it as it's written in the second person using future tense.

It starts with the narrator relating to the protagonist's (who represents the reader) decision to leave town. The protagonist travels through varying landscapes and places until they reach a place called ‘The Waiting Place'.

The Waiting Place is somewhere everyone is ever waiting for something to happen. The protagonist keeps on exploring throughout the book. He is encouraged to keep going by the thoughts of the places he will encounter and things he will discover.

The book has a joyful open ending. When it was released in 1990, it reaches number one on The New York Times Bestselling Fiction Hardcover list. This made Dr Seuss one of the few authors to have both Hardcover Fiction and Nonfiction books topping the list.

Oh, the places you'll go is a common gift to graduating students whether they are graduating from kindergarten, high school, or even college. The book usually has spiked sales between April and June. The National Education Association listed the book as one of its ‘Teachers' Top 100 Books for Children.

In 1997, 2021, and 2022, the book topped the list of USA Today's Best Selling Book and in 2015 and 2017 it was number two on the list. That shows just how popular the book is. Here are the most lovely Oh, the places you'll go quotes and captions!
